Practice Sessions Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings
Abundant Coach and Parent Supervision!

Hello Team Angels,

Thank you to Katie, Thomas, Travis, Tyler, Aaron, Mathew, Taylor, Brock and Lane and their parents for coming on Sunday to pick up hulls for the league shoot. It was greatly appreciated by the Gun Club and I also appreciate you volunteering!

About the weather for Wednesday practice - I will be at the club by 4 pm. If it is a light rain we will shoot.  If it is a downpour, I will be in the club house to work on gun fit, stance, mount of the gun, and dry-fire practice.  Remember that at a scheduled shoot, we shoot RAIN or SHINE.

Our first Fun Shoot is on the 24th, at the Waterloo Bacchi and Skeet Club. Go to www.shootcyssa.com web site for directions. The competition will begin at 9 am. Practice shooting will begin at 8 am.  The team supplies the entrance fees and ammo.  This is a 100 round shoot.  50 in the morning and 50 in the afternoon, any shoot-offs follow the main competition.  Awards follow shoot-offs
Please be to the shoot and check in with me by 8:15. We will have a rally point somewhere, that you'll see our pop-up shade and Team Angels banner.  This is where you will check-in with me and get your ammo.  If you would like to practice prior to your competitions, be there prior to 8:15, and you'll need to supply your own ammo, and purchase the targets.

THE EQUIPMENT YOU WILL NEED.  Your shotgun (check it the night before, that all screws are tight, full choke is in place and tight, and most importantly that it is clean and lightly lubricated). Your team shirt and hat (available 3/21 practice), safety glasses, ear plugs.  Dress for the weather, good shoes, rain jacket, snug fitting sweat shirt etc...  your ammo pouch, towel, cleaning kit.  That's about it for the shooting part.  For the waiting your turn part, folding chairs, books, games, music, homework, or any other amusement.  Food and drinks can usually be obtained at the clubs we are shooting at. Bring $$, or bring your own food and drinks.  Avoid caffeine and highly sugared drinks, eat lightly prior to shooting, you can carry water to the staging area behind the trap field.  Sun screen is very important to bring and use!

Please check the www.shootcyssa.com web site, and read the league rules about dress codes, grades, trap rules etc...  I will go over the rules at practice with all of you on the 3/21 practice day.  This a great site for Mom and Dad to find out lots of information about the league, who's-who, schedules etc...

If there are any questions please contact me.  I know that I've forgotten somethings, just ask.
