We intend to boycott the San Jose Mercury News, as well as certain businesses advertising in the San Jose Mercury. As an advertiser with the San Jose Mercury News, they are supporting the Mercury's slanted news as they portray the San Jose Police Department.

We fully support the United States Constitution, and especially the First Amendment: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

As citizens unhappy with the distorted presentations by the San Jose Mercury, we intend to  peaceably assemble, and to petition for a redress of grievances.
